Felisa Marie Hervey's dissertation, "Sharp-Edged Verse in 21st Century Afghanistan: From the Silence and War to the Wide-Open Page, An Analysis of Socio-Political Dimensions in Women’s Poetry," won the Foundation for Iranian Studies' Honorable Mention "for superior scholarship, originality, clarity, and the significant contribution it makes to the field of Iranian Studies." Felissa now lives in NM with her family.
